Penfield High School Senior Portrait: Anna

This was my first time photographing Anna, but second time with the family dog, Cinnamon. Does he look familiar? If so, it's because you saw him last year on the blog, with Anna's brother, Vinnie. It's always a pleasure to work with repeat clients, and I just love this family.

For Anna's session, we explored the park surrounding the Town Hall in Penfield. The connection for Anna is that she has played on the stage there as part of the high school band, but it was also a beautiful and secluded landscape - which made for excellent for photos! Now that's a win-win!

Anna, you are gorgeous. Go on, rock your senior year, I can't wait to see what you do next!

Senior Photos in Fairport, NY: George

George is a quiet boy who likes nature and water. For him, a walk along the boardwalk and canal was the perfect fit for his senior pictures. He rocked that pink button down, and those eyes sure can tell a story! They don't come much sweeter than this. I really enjoyed photographing George.

Thanks for choosing Lori and Erin Photography, enjoy your senior year!

Best,

Lori

McQuaid High School Senior Portrait: Spencer

What are two of Spencer's favorite things?

Crew and their dog Cocoa, and we included them both in his session! Spencer rows for McQuaid crew, so we hit up the boat house at GVP for his session. Cocoa tagged along, and while not a huge fan of the dock, she did really well! She even showed me all of her tricks while Spencer switched outfits.

Don't you just love enjoying the sunset over the river with your four legged pals? Not much beats that. Have an amazing year Spencer, can't wait to see what you do next!

Penfield High School Senior: Morgan

Morgan is just so darn cute and easy going! Her high school senior session started at the University of Rochester because of their amazing architecture. As we arrived, didn't it start to sprinkle? Doesn't matter, we played in the rain!

The rain didn't last long though, so we popped over to Genesee Valley Park for the remainder of the session. It was a fitting spot, being surrounded by the waters Morgan rows in.

Oh, did I mention how sweet she is? For the last shot of her session, she donned her grandfathers sweater and hat in his memory.  I love this idea, and enjoyed swapping stories about our grandfathers as we walked together.

Thanks for a great session Morgan, and have a wonderful year!

Victor High School Senior Session: Laura

Laura is a very talented girl. She is able to play both the guitar and ukelele. Not only can she play, but she's also self taught! We enjoyed the privacy and beautiful scenery of one of Victor's hidden gems: Boughton Hill Park. She did a little slap guitar for me, and serenaded us and the trees during her session. We also got a few shots around her house and neighborhood to round out the session.

Beauty, brains and musically gifted, what more could you ask for? Thanks Laura, and have a wonderful year!

Maplewood Rose Garden, Cobbs Hill Senior Session

Maddy - seriously with that smile? And those eyes? She's so perfectly adorable and sweet. She describes herself as "Funny, sarcastic, preppy, kind and bubbly." What a great description!

She's super involved too. She's a Varsity Volleyball Captain, Vice President of her Student Council, on the Student Senate, a Camp Counselor and a Youth Ambassador.

Maddy is also willing to go with the flow, which made photographing her senior portraits a breeze. When it started raining, she was willing to play in the rain under an umbrella.

We ended up with a great variety of images - everything from playing in the flowers to singing in the rain. We even got some athletic shots in her volleyball uniform.

Thanks Maddy for a great morning session! Go Brighton Volleyball! ~ Lori & Erin

Midlakes High School Senior Photos: Erin

When Erin wrote to me about taking her senior photos, my first thought was, "No way, she can't be a senior!" After I got over the initial shock, I was so honored she asked me. She and her mom said they chose me after they saw the photos I took of my cousin's wedding, who happens to be their neighbor. She said the photos were so "them", and not contrived or forced. And that's what they wanted, to remember Erin as she is today.

Erin's father works in landscaping, so he selected the perfect house with lots of beautiful options for images. From the front door, to the shed, to the pond, we were not short on locations to choose from!  Erin's beautiful smile and adorable laugh kept the mood light and fun the whole time. Without further ado, here are a few of my favorites from her session. Enjoy!

Rochester NY High School Senior: Chad

I first photographed Chad on the soccer field, when he was much younger. It's hard for me to believe so much time has passed that now he's in his senior year in high school.

He's taller, and no longer plays soccer - but he's still just as good a kid as he was back then. We photographed his session at one of our more popular locations this year, Linear Park. The variety of backdrops between buildings and nature makes this a well rounded location for a lot of different options.

Thanks for being so easy to work with Chad! Have a great senior year! ~ Erin

Downtown Rochester Senior Portrait Session: Aleigha

People tell her she's got a great smile. We have to agree. She describes herself in five words saying "fun, goofy, kind, helpful, and outgoing." Again, we have to agree.

We began her senior fusion session behind the Anderson Alley building, downtown. It was the perfect place for Aleigha's urban style. There were so many great options to use, it was hard to tear ourselves away and end up at Corbett's Glen.

There, the water was a little chilly, and the mosquitoes were out, but Aleigha was a rockstar. She toughed it out for some seriously gorgeous images.

Aleigha, we had so much fun with you! Enjoy every second of your senior year! ~ Lori & Erin

Fairport High School Senior Pictures: Sandya

From the second we starting shooting, Sandya was all smiles and laughs. Her description of herself couldn't be more accurate: energetic, bright, always smiling, and smart.

She's a wonderful senior at Fairport High School, who plans to study chemistry next year. For her senior photos, we started at the Penfield Town Hall where we used a variety of architectural elements. After that, we hit up Webster Park. Sandya is a swimmer, so she wanted to incorporate the water somehow, without actually getting in the pool. Webster Park was the perfect spot for that!

I love what we captured in this session, and Sandya was a blast to work with. Have a great year Sandya!

Penfield High School Senior Sessions Katy

Katy has the most wonderful eyes, doesn't she? She's a high school senior at Penfield High School this year. We met up at the park for her session, and like all of our great seniors, she really swung for the fences!

When we asked her to describe herself in five words she said, "easy, a lot of sarcasm".  So clearly, we got along well.

The senior session was definitely very easy going, and we got some fantastic shots.

Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Senior Photos at Linear Park : Kaitlyn

Celebrating your senior year is pretty exciting, and we love to celebrate it with you. Kaitlyn is another one of our awesome 2016 seniors, who we recently got to photograph in her natural element - outdoors.

She has been a dancer for most of her life, but is also a counselor at Camp Stella Maris. Being outside and in the water was what she wanted, so we headed to Linear Park in Penfield. I couldn't help but smile when Holly, the family dog, followed us around for the session. She just wanted to keep Kaitlyn company!

In 5 words, Kaitlyn is: Smiley, bubbly, boho, bright, and girly

I love the adventurous side of this girl. She climbed into the water for a great shot on a log, and danced like no one else was around. She also rocked every single outfit she brought with her. Thanks for a fun evening, enjoy the photos!
