Rochester NY Senior Portraits

Senior Pictures in Rochester NY: Fairport NY Photography

Kinsey’s friends describe her as artsy, bubbly and a little goofy, but also loyal and caring. She’s a Class of 2024 high school senior, who was looking for something more than a flower filled garden for her senior pictures.

So we opted for her senior pictures at Cobbs Hill in Rochester, using both the water tower grafitti art and the nearby tennis courts. We had tons of fun creating senior pictures that reflected her personality to a “T.”

Congratulations Kinsey, we can’t wait to see where you go next!

Rochester NY Senior Pictures: Hannah and Sarah

A senior portrait session for twins = wow! They’re a little longer sessions, but that’s essential in order to bring out two different personalities in senior pictures.

Thankfully, Sarah and Hannah from Fairport High School both liked the idea of using Cobbs Hill as the location for their senior pictures. We played in the leaves, used the graffiti art on the water tower and took advantage of the architecture at the top of the reservoir.

Sarah showed off her strong personality in every outfit she rocked. Hannah’s a black belt in karate, and also took us to the track where she runs cross country.

Together, they are a great combination, and sure to be unstoppable at whatever lies ahead in their future. Congratulations Hannah and Sarah!

Senior Pictures in Williamsville: Maja, Class of 2023

Maja is a Clarence High School Senior, with a great smile and passion for the ice. We traveled down the thruway for her senior portraits to Glen Falls in Williamsville NY.

At Glen Falls, we used hidden little water falls to create some gorgeous senior pictures in a natural setting. After that, we visited North Town Ice Rink to show off her figure skating skills!

After as many years as we’ve been senior portrait photographers, it’s exciting to still have a few “firsts.” This senior session included the first time we photographed a figure skating senior portrait.

With the help of her coach, we shot a variety of jumps, spins and graceful poses to help Maja celebrate this passion in her senior pictures. It was a lot of fun, even though we lost feeling in our toes for a few minutes from the cold ice rink!

What passion would you include in a senior portrait?

Rush Henrietta Senior Pictures: Class of 2022, Stephanie

Stephanie is a Rush Henrietta High School senior. Capturing this moment in senior year is special on its own, but add in grandma and it took Stephanie’s senior pictures over the top.

You could tell they have a special connection, and that it helped to relax Stephanie for her senior portraits. Not that she needed it, she rocked every look she put on, even her nursing uniform!

Stephanie, you have a beautiful smile and laugh, let that radiate into the world and you will make your future patients at ease. Congrats Stephanie, I can’t wait to see where you go from here! -Lori

Victor High School Senior Pictures: Class of 2022, Nick

Photographing the senior portraits for a younger brother of a prior client is always meaningful. As a senior photographer, I am mindful to make the portrait session similar (for parents) but different (for the high school senior). :)

It had been four years since I last saw Nick, when he made a special appearance at Matt’s senior portrait session.

An avid reader, we had to include that passion in his senior pictures, and have fun with it. Though covering his face with the book was my idea, he may have preferred to do that for all his senior pictures! You couldn’t tell from these shots, but he going into the senior session, he wasn’t too excited about it. That’s ok, sometimes that the case, we get it! Luckily, he loves his momma and worked with me to get some nice shots for her and the Victor High School yearbook. We even included his Victor Robotics shirt!

Good luck next year, Nick!

Lara's Fall Senior Portrait Session in the Sunken Gardens

Lara is a high school senior from Pittsford Sutherland High School. Her Fall senior pictures were a dream as a photographer to shoot.

Lara has that easy going, natural beauty. Her simple outfits allowed her smile and eyes to really shine. She ended her senior session throwing leaves like confetti. I know she is looking forward to swimming for UC Berkley, but Pittsford NY is gonna miss her!

Best of luck and congratulations Lara!

What to Wear in Your Senior Pictures | Fairport NY Senior Portrait Photography

Not sure what outfits to pack for your senior portraits? Here’s a few ideas from your fave Fairport NY Senior Portrait photographers that might help!

1) Casual

Pack at least two of your favorite casual outfits. Rule of thumb? If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t look comfortable in your pictures. So pick your favorite outfits that also make you feel amazing when you wear them.

2) Uniform

This could be for anything. Maybe it’s your team jersey, or letter jacket. Or, maybe you’re an Eagle Scout and you want to commemorate it. The point is, if you wear a uniform you’re proud of, you should wear it in your senior pictures.

3) Formal wear

Get dressed up! We recommend one formal outfit if it fits your style. This could be your favorite suit, outfit or even your prom dress.

4) Cap and Gown

If you have it, please take professional senior pictures in your cap and gown. It’s the main reason for your senior pictures after all!

5) School Spirit

Represent the high school you’re graduating from! OR better yet, are you going to Yale and already have the quintessential hoodie? Let’s share that news with the world.

Above all else, be comfortable in your clothes! Be yourself, and enjoy this time in your life. You’ve earned it!

Carly's Sunken Garden, Senior Pictures in Rochester NY

Carly is a Class of 2021 high school senior at Gates Chili High School.

We visited the Sunken Gardens in Rochester NY for her senior pictures. When you look at Carly, you can’t miss those eyes! Gorgeous inside and out, this volleyball playing high school senior is bound for great things.

I so enjoyed her senior portrait session! If you’ve been following the blog, she may actually, look familiar. That’s because we photographed senior pictures for another member of her family recently! Check out her sister, Lexie, and her senior pictures from last year!

Enjoy Senior Year, Carly!

School of the Arts Senior Portraits in Rochester NY

Alexander is a vibrant personality. He is kind, warm, and theatrical.

He was referred to our studio by his cousin, Grace, so I knew this would be a fun session! We explored the Sunken Gardens and Highland Bowl together to make some senior portraits that would fit his characteristics perfectly.

Check them out - oh and wish him luck as the LEAD in Little Shop of Horrors this year! Congratulations Alexander!

Gananda High School Senior Portraits at Chimney Bluffs

When I met John, we talked about what he is interested in and what he wants to do. He wants to go into law enforcement, is a three season athlete and also likes to hike and hunt. One of his favorite places in the area is Chimney Bluffs. If you haven't been, you should. You'll completely forget that you live in NYS when you see this beautiful area.

I could see him get more excited about his session the more he thought about going back there...

This session definitely had some adventure to it! There was some hiking to get to the best spots, and he had no problem changing outfits in the woods. The blowing wind down by the water disappeared as we climbed higher. It was a great way to spend a morning, and I enjoyed getting to know John and his mother more as we created fun senior portrait images.

Check them out, and John, have a great year! Thanks for bringing me along on the adventure.  :)

An Extended Family Portrait Session: The O'Connor Family

Grandparents, parents, kids, grandkids, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews - all in one place, at one time. For some families that's a near miracle.

We've photographed Rosanne and her family before, but this time was different. Because it's a rare occurrence for them all to be together, and for this family it was a privilege to photograph for them.

So they gathered at The Century Club in downtown Rochester, and we captured the whole family together. They're so kind and fun, and one of the easiest large group portraits we've ever had the opportunity to photograph.

Here's a few of the images that we were happy to capture of this great family. Enjoy!

College Graduation Portraits: Ashley & Family

From the first time I spoke with Ashley, I knew this was going to be a fun session. It absolutely lived up to expectation. It was everything you could ask for in a photo session: awesome people on a gorgeous night in a meaningful location.

After four years of studying Psychology at SUNY Geneseo, Ashley wanted to celebrate by creating photos around campus to remind her of the happy memories. Her boyfriend of two years and parents joined in too!

Check out the images below and you'll get an idea of how much fun we had. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, give us a call! We love celebrating life with you!

Ashley, I hope you have an amazing time in Europe, and I can't wait to see what you do when get back!

Cheers!
