Personal Brand Photography for Architectural Interior Designer

Last time we worked with Trudi Smith Designs, the space we were working with only had plywood walls. She had tasked us with photographing branding portraits of her working in the space, while it was still under construction. Her goal, was to show herself as a capable architectural designer from start to finish.

Check out the blog post and her space “before” here.

So the second part of her personal branding photography session was all about the end results. We added details, and all of the final touches that went into her show room to her collection of brand photographs, along with updated portrait images for her website and beyond.

The result of her office transformation is STUNNING, to say the least. Thank you, Trudi, for welcoming us with fun and laughter throughout your personal branding portrait sessions!

PS - can you spot the photographer in the pictures below? You’ll find she’s one of your best clients at every branding session we offer!

Branding Pictures for Interior Designers: Fairport NY Personal Brand Photographers

Trudi said something to the effect of “I have a room under construction and I’d like to take pictures in it for my branding portraits.”

We replied “Sounds awesome, let’s do it!”

I mean, how else do you show the world what you’re capable of as an residential interior designer, except to show yourself amidst your own construction and design work?

She’s updating her website, designing and constructing her own office / show room, and also entering into The One Room Challenge. It is a biannual event every spring and fall. Everyone with a blog, Instagram account, or TikTok can participate by registering for the event with the room or space they’re transforming.

She’s also a hands on business woman, working on designs for clients at the same time. So it’s safe to say she’s got her hands pretty full.

We’re excited to see how she uses her branding pictures along the way!

Brand Photography for Florists: Rochester NY Branding Pictures

Jamie’s goal at Creative Gardens is to help everyone be surrounded by color, because it makes their lives a little bit brighter, more cheerful and welcoming. She wants to bring inspirational beauty to the world through her gardening.

She could just post branded pictures of her container gardens or wedding designs to her social media feeds. But Jamie knew it was time to elevate her look with a personal branding photo session. She already works with some higher end country clubs and residential homes, so it was time to show up that way in her business, all year long.

So far, we’ve created branding pictures in Rochester, working at her hotel and country club sites, and on a wedding design at Fig Holllow Barn.

We can’t wait to see what else we’ll get to photograph for her brand as the year goes on!

Personal Branding for Podcasters

Last time we saw her, Maryellen wanted branding photography for her therapy business. At the time, the goal was to update her business website, but also show a real side of Maryellen that made you feel at ease.

We knew even then, that Maryellen had bigger goals than running a successful therapists’s office.

Fast forward 3 years and one pandemic later.

Introducing, the “Okay-ish” Podcast. It’s a space where Maryellen gets real about mental health, and gives listeners the unfiltered truths that help people understand that “it’s ok, to be just ok.” There’s a new website to brand, and new stories to tell.

So who is she speaking to:

People who want a different take on therapy, feel overwhelmed, or are realizing that perfection isn’t the goal - OK is. She talks about toxic positivity, imposter syndrome, and also gives behind the scenes information about life as a therapist. She wants to be seen as relatable in her branding photography.

How did we do that?

  • We showed her real life, by taking branding pictures of Maryellen next to the laundry she’s been too busy and overwhelmed to fold.

  • We photographed emotion. Yes, new headshots are important, but we also knew we needed to show a variety of emotions in order to connect to her audience. So we captured overwhelm and even anger, along side her new headshots.

Brand photography is about more than pretty headshots and sitting at a perfect, clean desk. What makes your brand stand out? What emotions do you want to help your audience with? Let’s go there, and capture THAT in your personal brand photographs.
