McQuaid High School Senior Portraits

Kyle’s passion is lacrosse. He plays for the McQuaid Knights and so we spent about half of his session on the field. We created a variety of senior pictures capturing his skill and home turf.

For the second part of his session, he showed off his serious fashion sense at Cobbs Hill park. And just like his older brother, Spencer, we had to include Cocoa, the family dog as well.

Job perk: petting all the dogs!

I have loved working with Kyle and his family over the years. We always get to do some unique and fun things. Congrats Kyle and the Class of 2020 - it wasn’t the way you hoped, but we wish you the best nonetheless! Here’s to you!

Five Ways to Use Your High School Senior Pictures

High School graduations are a milestone moment, and you want to celebrate it, but you don’t know how.

We have brainstormed some ideas to help you shout it from the rooftops, using your senior pictures. We also know you have a lot on your plate already, so we are here to help with any of these ideas. Just get in touch for more information!

Without further ado here are five ways to use your senior pictures and celebrate your graduate!

1) Send out graduation announcements

You could also ask people to send your graduate notes (on actual paper!) of encouragement and congratulations.

2) Create a Video

I’m not talking about Tik Tok here. We can help you create a “through the years” video of your graduate. From their first baby steps, to their senior pictures. We can scan in, or use your photos to create a meaningful, professional video that you can share anywhere, anytime. You have enough to do, let us help you create something special.

Also along the lines of video, you could ask others to create a video montage of well wishes from friends and family.

3) Decorate Your Space

Create a yard sign or a banner using your grads senior picture for everyone to see. If you want to show off your graduate this way, get in touch!

4) Create a Special Photo Book

Give them a special senior book, using images you choose and questions to get them thinking about this time in their life. Without questions is cool too! We can even put together a beautiful book filled with photos of friends and family over the years.

5) Get Dressed up

Plan a fun cap and gown photo shoot. Do it yourself, or give us a call.

Make it special! Get dressed up, order your favorite food, and give toasts. Honor these accomplishments with the same pride you would have watching them cross that stage.

Because you’ve earned this moment, and the world should see it too.

Victor High School Senior Photos: Elliott, Class of 2020

While every Senior portrait session is fun for different reasons, this one was a first.

Elliott is lucky enough to have an amazing backyard with trees and fields of tall grasses, and also a pond next door where he loves to fish.

But his other favorite hobby? Building his own remote control vehicles. After we did some nice natural portraits, we headed over to the pond for some fun with his favorite plane. We even got one image with a car, plane and a sea plane! It was a challenge, but we accepted it and conquered it.

(Note: I may have issued this challenge to myself.)

Without further ado, enjoy! And if you’ve got a fun hobby you’d like to include in your senior portraits, let us know! We love tailoring sessions to fit who you are.

Churchville Senior Pictures, Class of 2020: Kristina's Senior Portraits

What a day we had with Kristina!

I drove through heavy downpours on the way to her Senior Portrait Session. Thankfully, right on cue, the clouds parted and sun came out!

While we didn’t see any rainbows, we did get to play with puddles and reflections and we were rewarded with some great light. We created a variety of senior pictures around Spencerport and Highland Park in downtown Rochester.

Kristina was so fun to work with and very relaxed. She was care free, just as she had hoped her senior portraits would be.

Check out a few of our favorites below, and wish Kristina the best as she graduates!

Cheers, Lori

Gates Chili High School Senior Pictures: Blake, Senior Class of 2020

Blake was so much fun to photograph!

From his fashion sense (I told his mom he is more stylish than I am!) to his attitude on the turf, we had a lot of fun. His senior portrait session was a blend of nature and showing off his athleticism. And while lacrosse is his real passion, we also took some football shots as well. Lucky for us, the clouds were amazing that night and provided an amazingly dramatic backdrop for his Rochester senior portraits.

Enjoy some images from his senior portrait session at Turning Point Park, and the brand new turf field at Gates Chili High School!

We may not be able to see him on the field right now, but we can celebrate his senior year virtually. Here’s to you Blake!

Greece Athena Senior Pictures: Samantha's Senior Portraits

Sometimes we go into a high school senior session with one plan, only to need to change it and find workarounds. When we arrived at our first location, there were other folks hanging about. So, we avoided that area, and found some beautiful pockets of light to highlight Sam’s beauty. (It wasn’t hard!) The background people eventually left, allowing us to use the cobblestone area at Durand Eastman Park as well.

Then we walked across the street to the beach. Or should I say, “beach”. With the lake levels so high this year, there really wasn’t a beach! We still found some cool trees to hang out on over the water and Sam rocked her stunning white dress.

The original game plan may have shifted, but we all still had a great time and created some amazing Rochester NY Senior portraits for Sam! Good luck in all your future endeavors!

Pittsford Mendon High School: Olivia's Senior Photos

Meet Olivia! While she is all about field hockey, she chose to get dressed up and let her hair down for her senior portrait session in Pittsford NY!

We had a great time exploring all the unique backgrounds around Schoen Place and finished up at Tinker Park with her siblings and new little puppy. I gotta say, they are lucky I didn’t take little Winnie home with me! :)

Winnie may have tried to steal the show, but Olivia really knocked it out of the park! Happy senior year, and good luck on the field!

Senior Portraits, Fairport High School: Rohan

Me: So you play volleyball... are you any good?

Rohan: Well, our team won states last year…

Rohan is a natural on the Fairport High School Volleyball court, and in front of the camera. Mom wanted some nice scenery in the background, so we explored one of my favorite secret treasures in Rochester: Linear Park. This one park has so much variety for high school senior pictures, we could get a lot of different looks without going far. In the woods, by the water, and a grungy brick wall for some dramatic sports images.

Happy senior year Rohan, and thanks for choosing us to document your senior portraits!

Victor High School Senior Pictures: Abby, Class of 2020

Abby chose our model session for her senior portraits for Victor High School, which meant we got to explore 3 different portrait locations around Rochester together. We did a few images at their home, followed by an amazing barn down the street and finished at Schoen Place with all its variety! I loved her blue eyes against the blue background, including the miniature horses in a few images and Abby’s sunny personality the whole time.

Every session is special and this one was no exception! Congrats Abby on your senior year and thanks for having us along on the ride!

Brighton High School Senior Photos: Katie, Class of 2020

Our goal for every senior portrait session is to reflect back to our seniors who they are. Every single session is unique in its own way, because every single high school senior is unique in their own way.

It was a dream and absolute pleasure to photograph a fellow purple haired friend. We created senior pictures that made her feel like her real self. We hit up Schoen place in order to show off her snowboard, her skateboard and even her pug socks and car. Each element she shared with us showed us a little bit more about who she is at heart.

The results were playful and thoughtful, frankly - they were perfection.

Senior Pictures, Victor NY Class of 2020: Meet Connor

He told me he was just a simple, casual guy. He loves his truck, chemistry, yard work and hunting.

Oh, and he’s also into woodworking and has a little shop in his basement. He was very modest about it, but I saw what he’s made— and don’t let Connor fool you, he is very talented!

It was a pleasure exploring Boughton Park with Connor for his senior portraits. We utilized the natural settings of water and trees but also found a broken down bridge that made a cool backdrop. Check ‘em out and say hi below!

Four Tips for Great Senior Pictures in Rochester NY

Since our high school senior portraits are coming up quick, we thought it might help if we offered up a few tips for some great senior pictures. After all, these photos will live on the pages of the high school yearbook and on your walls for years to come. The experience you have should be fun, memorable and unique!

So here's a few tips to get you thinking...

1) Clothing - Do your best to avoid clothing with words, stripes and plaids. Solid colors tend to photograph much better, especially in a busy background like a park or among colorful flowers. Make sure you're comfortable in your choices, and that they are flattering to you. If there's a part of you that you're self-conscious about, like your arms - simple solution, wear sleeves! Be comfortable in your clothes, so that it shows in your photographs! Also, keep your jewelry simple so it doesn't distract from what we're really capturing - you!

If you have questions on what to wear, bring a variety of options - from dressy to casual! We can help you pick the right outfit for the right setting.

2) Makeup - Ladies, don't feel like this is an opportunity to layer on the makeup. We want the natural you, not someone that no one will recognize! Your makeup should only be slightly heavier than usual. And please...don't use sparkles, they only make you look shiny in all the wrong places. Don't worry too much about blemishes either, we have ways to help diminish those!

3) Shaving - Guys, unless you're into the bearded look, shave prior to the session to avoid unwanted stubble. If you're face gets irritated easily, leave enough time for it to return to normal. Plan ahead!

4) Props, pets and activities - Here's the fun part. What is it that makes you, you? Do you have a cat, dog or pet iguana to include? We're game, just make sure you bring treats for motivation, and someone to keep watch over Fluffy the Lizard while he's not in the photographs.

We encourage you to bring items that reveal your personality and hobbies. For example, an instrument, sporting equipment, vehicle, collectible, or whatever it is you enjoy.

Most important of all - this should be a memorable experience, so have fun!
